WHat is everyone running to get proper throughput with their HVX mxf files?
I have a core 2 duo (e6600) and its no where near real time... not even on playback outside of a NLE.
Do you have to use a Matrox card (or something similar) for hardware decoding to get decent performance?

a little over kill but I have had great results its almost 2x realtime (or alteast it feels like it)

What NLE are you using?
I use a core duo 2.16 laptop with 2 gigs of ram and edit off of eSATA drives. I can handle multiple streams of 1080 or 720 in realtime w/ EDIUS.

Mac Pro Quad core 3ghtz 6gb ram. Works perfectly. (with HPX500 though the codec is the same).

$5200 its third party ram with a dell monitor ad a jvc video monitor.
