panasonic p2 usb installation failed

I tried to install p2 driver for pc, i hooked up the usb 2.0 with pc and i put the camera on usb mode in other function.but when i try to install this message shows up " this installer will install hvx200 usb driver,please connect hvx by usb2.0" i click install, again this message shows up..if i cancel it, it tells me installation is completed,i restart the computer and its not there, i am trying to get the p2 card footage to my pc (with xp) for last 4 days, but no result,
can anybody help?

You've set the PC MODE to USB, put the camera into MCR mode, and then pressed the MODE button for another three seconds with P2 cards in the slots while running the installer?
