i just sold my sennheiser g2 wireless kit here on the forum this last week. it had both a lav and a handheld transmitter - GREAT for weddings.

you can get the kit at b&h or similar dealer for $699

im checkin them out now whats the transmitter? I thought all you needed was a receiver. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/324228-REG/Sennheiser_EW100ENGG2_B_Evolution_G2_100_Series.ht ml

You'll need both. Lectrosonics are the best and will last you a really really long time. Build quality is unmatched and they are the industry standards. I got mine used for about the same price as the senns new.

I also have a G2 -- no problems. A bit too plasticky for my tastes (I doubt the cases would survive many drops), but it works (and sounds) fine.

I've had lectros and now use the F+Sennheiser G2's as they are smaller and easily mount to the camera. The G2's are dead equal to the 190 lectros in range and quality and they run for about 9 hours on a pair of 2500 MAH Double AA rechargeable batteries which I consider a real plus.

Spend money on Microphones! Sanken COS1 and Countryman B3 's or B6's, which are really tiny and water proof are excellent choices. I have both sanken and B3's and use the sankens more often than not, but a word to the wise: the Sanken mics are more sensitive and so you should set the sensitivity on the sennheisers to -20 for normal use instead of the usual -10

I have an Azden dual system and they work well, but I hardly ever use them because the church venues usually always have their own systems and sound board and I just tap into that.
