can I format 32GB P2 on my mac book pro?

I've seen the format station download on the Panasonic site but it looks like this is just for windows, and I'm on a mac.

I tried unlocking the last clip file and trashing the contents but the the card reads format error when I put it back into the camera.

Sure I can format in camera, but can I format on the mac book pro as soon as I have tranfered the footage, and reinsert the card directly ready for more recording...???

The Mac drivers include a Format Station for Mac.
