Barry,

You mention on "HVX Bootcamp" that the networks broadcast in 720p or 1080i and in 24p, 30p and 60p. Do they have the HVX in Film camera mode or video camera mode?

I'm not Barry, but I work in broadcast TV. FILM mode and VIDEO mode don't really matter. Those modes just unlock various features in the camera...they have little to nothing to do with what the networks will accept.

VIDEO mode allows for time lapse INTERVAL shooting, for example, and FILM MODE unlocks most of the frame rates.

Right -- the broadcasts in this country are at 1080/60i and 720/60p. The ATSC has certified 720/24p, 720/30p, 1080/24p, and 1080/30p as broadcast standards but I don't know if any networks are using them.

And, as Shane said, the choice of FILM CAM or VIDEO CAM will not affect the way your footage looks or the way it will broadcast. It just changes the way a few features work.
