I have done one shoot with my new 200A which went very well. One question I had thought was on the naming of the files on the P2 Card. We we're marking down the file number as takes, and that went well while files were on the first P2 Card, but when it moved over to the 2ed card, the numbers kept going up when I checked it in VCR mode, i.e. the numbers went from 053 to 054 when on the new P2 card it was number 001. Is there a way to make it show the filename in the VCR view? Or is there some way to achieve what I’m trying to do, which is match takes with filenames for easy reference when editing? Thanks

If you are marking (logging) good takes, use the Shot Marker function set on a User Button (or do it from the P2 Playback Icon view)

Otherwise use timecode instead of filename for shot logging.

Alternatively use P2 Forge and create a logging system to ID takes before you edit.

A lot of new digital workflows are "post" and require a different paradigm from the old tape days.

Some P2-aware editing apps, like Premiere Pro CS3 and Edius Broadcast, will display the assignable clip names for the clips instead of the six-digit ID number.

Please, can you give us a detailed explanation in order to make the HVX name the clips?
