Wondering if both can be output at same time or if it performs similarly to HVX where one knocks out the other. Would love to do AC and DP monitors without having to go into a breakout box

Havent' confirmed it but I assumed that it does. That's one reason I really want the dang thing. Being able to use a small monitor for Handheld while having a larger onboard would be pretty nice.

Good question. The fact that the SDI ouput also carries embedded TC also raises the stakes where that's concerned...

At Cine Gear it was doing both HD-SDI (HD) and Composite (SD) at the same time but I didn't get a chance to check for Component.

Anybody have a definitive answer on this? Component and Sdi at same time
HPX170 does NOT do component and HD SDI simultaneously. Must go into menus and disable
HD SDI to make component active.

It does composite and HD-SDI at the same time or component and HD-SDI at the same time.
It does composite and HD-SDI at the same time or component and HD-SDI at the same time.
Kholi,
The HPX170 does not output component and HD SDI at the same time. See page
107 of the operating instructions.

Sorry I meant Composite and HD-SDI and Component and Composite.

Right - the composite jack is always live and sending an SD stream. So your outputs simultaneously are:
1) SDI, composite, and firewire
or
2) Component, composite, and firewire
But you cannot have component + SDI at the same time. It's one or the other.

Thanks guys.
Looks like HD-SDI for LH monitors (DP and AC) and SD (composite) for video village.
