Usually!

Some call it procrastination, I call it logic." -Nick Lane

Yes, I just quoted myself from real life into this post. Deal with it. I typically wait until one week before the deadline before I even think about it. Then I come up with an idea and write the whole thing in one day a few days (or one day) before the deadline. This time the idea just hit me and I started writing. I may not use it though.

I'm in-

Got 2 1/2 pages. I'll probably go up to 10-15 then cut the crap out to make 6. Got 3 different titles.

I HOPE THE NEXT FEST IS SCI-FI, so we can use this script. (I may shoot it anyway)

Been reading some of my favorite sci-fi scripts- Matrix, Solaris, Donnie Darko... Absolute page turners' they are. Hopefully some of that will sink in.

Can't wait to see everyone's.

Please write it!

You could blow your nose and spread it across 110 pages and it would make a better script than the original.

Sorry m.night, I still love you. Just give yourself some more time and don't worry about the twist factor.

I'm thinking of sitting this one out. I'm really struggling with the six page rule. The idea that I grabbed on to early in the process is just too big for six pages. I've currently got a 3 1/2 page scriptlet that uses a portion of the original concept, but ... geeze, it's not really a complete story.

I might enter it just to get feedback, but it's not going to be a strong script.

I have six pages, I have it finished unfortunately it's going into production for twilightfest. I was so looking forward to submitting it here.

The original twilightfest script is going into production on 16mm and won't be ready in time for the festival.

I was under the impression that you can enter your script here and have it produced for Twilight as well - unless you just don't want it to be out and a potential spoiler for your film.

I know, it would be too many spoilers. And now I can push it to 7 pages which will make it flow better than trying to cut to 6 for this contest.

I hear ya, man! It took some cutting back to fit mine in the limit and, in fact, I had to attach "(excerpt)" to the title since it does stand on its own, but is still part of a bigger and better story. :)

hi... i'm new, but was excited to be involved in this script contest!!

:)

Mine ended up being 5 1/2 pages, I actually had to go in and add some more action/silence. I think limiting the pages was a very good idea, it really helps get down to the bare bones and the essentials of the story.
