Anyone know how to change a file from and RGB file to a CMYK file, in Capture NX?

Do you mean for output? And why would you want to do that? If I remember correctly that color profile does not have as wide a gamut as sRGB.

Anyone feel free to school me if I'm way off the map.

Oh yeah, and I don't use the app so I don't know what to tell you anyway. :)

when you save the file, select TIFF as the option. You'll then have the choice to save it as RGB or CMYK.

cool. it's because I'm printing some postcards and the printer said I sent them rgb files, and they need them to be cmyk. i only have capture nx and never did that before.

i'll go try sinapps' advice right now. thanks!

Hrmm. So that totally changed the color of the image.

Yup. It is always better to let the printer do the conversion since they have all of the profiles set up. It might still print well, but just not show up right on the screen.
