I was thinking more on the idea that monsters do cause disasters and you'll have no home to live in...

Being that they're giant, I would presume they'd be easy to find and, ultimately, destroy.

And being that they're not real also helps.
I chose giant monsters but I think it's somewhat unfair for me since I live on an island! No where for me to run...
Then again, terrorists go everywhere too :-/

it's a form of escape. We infatuate ourselves with the idea that having fictional monster for everyday disaster is actually fun.
but what if they were real. I don't think it' be fun.
seriously, it's not fun to be run down by a hurricane.

Don't be so quick to pick giant monsters. They're not at all easy to get rid of, they cause *huge* swaths of destruction, and they *always* end up fighting each other--usuallly downtown. An FORGET taking the subway to work. Super Villains can do a *lot* of damage before some moody Super Hero decides to save the day. Plus the Super Heros can also go bad without warning. Zombies? You gotta be kidding--forget ever sleeping peacefully and they're too tough to destroy. Constant natural disasters will reduce an area to rubble or a flooded mess in no time. I guess that leaves terrorists--they're sort of like amateurish Super Villains and instead of Super Heros, you have state security services--kind of like amateurish Super Heros I guess.

Oh yeah, I voted for Superheros. Because then it's possible that I could be Spider-Man. My first act as Spider-Man would be to defeat the slanderous Shane Realm, and his circulation of pictures that he claims are me. :P

TC, where are your suspenders?
Batman was better than any of the other superheroes because he had no powers (except bajillions of dollars) and he still kicked ass.
He kicked ass, but calling him a super-hero is a cop out. Didn't anyone see The Incredibles!? If you don't have powers your not a super hero/ villian!
