It just seems like a bad idea..... but is it something you can do yourself? i just fear scratching the sensor cover.....

Only with a blower. Never with swabs.
I also like the blower *ahem*

Tim, I use a special brush called the Arctic Butterfly. It does a really good job and is safe to use on your sensor. It is also good when your blower cant get off the stuck on stuff.

yea well what hapened was my hakuba blower "spit" white particles on the sensor, so now anytime i sttop down, i get these gnarly dark sprinkly patters on the blue skies....
So yes i need the brush... will look into it... thanks!
