i was wondering if anyone had advice for the best 35 mm adapter for the sony ex1.
other than the letus ultimate - - more, the ones in the $1500-2000 range.
i have noticed that mr. bloom seems to have a preference for letus and most of the ex1 adapter clips i see from others tend to involve a letus. is there a reason?
i know that adapters generally speaking are a matter of personal preference, but also, most people's preferences to this point have been a result of attaching them to the hvx.

I'd like to know about people's experiences using the RR M2 as that's the adapter I'll be using with the EX1 for a decent period of time.

I sold my M2 and bought a LEX. In my experience you cannot achieve edge-to-edge focus with the M2 at this time. They are coming out with a EX1 specific microX sometime in the future.

ok, well the consensus seems to be on the letus from what i can tell, and from this based predominantly on mr. bloom's work with it

...the letus35 only loses half a stop of light. I think that's the appeal.

i see, well, for everyone gaining light from switching to the ex1 from the hvx, i wouldn't have been surprised if other factors than light would have come into consideration a little more for adapters for this camera

but less light loss is definitely good

and i haven't heard a whole lot anywhere about any other adapter surpassing the letus in other qualities, especially for use with the ex1, where as i understand it, letus was pretty quick on customizing their adapter for ex1 use

Wayne is thinking about putting the EX1 fix on the stock sgpro non flipped so there is not an upgrade fee, so that is a plus, having an adapter right out of the box ready for action with the ex1.

The SGPro might be just as good a solution as the Letus at this point, but I have haven't read any reports from users yet. Wayne's new achromat hasn't been out very long. It's probably fine though. Don't know about P+Smini , do they have an EX-1 fix yet?
