Just curious because it seems to me that we all have this desire to make films with guns or at least some form of murder. I won't deny it, the film I was going to submit had an entire shootout scene. If you don't want to disclose this yet for fear of spoiling your film, don't worry about it. It was just a funny question that crossed my mind and gave me a reason to start my very first poll.

The only gun involved in my film was used to force a few people to help out...no one was injured.

I have decided by looking at your banner that your film is gun free.

Yup, it's always my fault. When I saw that I actually had to think for a moment in order to remember where I had written blood in. Then it hit me.
-------------------------------
I am actually surprised by the poll so far. Maybe I should have put "Does your entry contain murder?" I actually was going to do that but I thought that would be way to plot revealing for some entries.
Also, glad to see at least one person got my "No Country For Old Men" reference. I wonder who it was...
That is an interesting question. My initial idea, and the second one i was thinking about both where things where violence/murder/guns played a big role. But one day i was talking with my 19 year old sister and i explained my first draft for the timefest. He said me "Yes, this is what you like.... but why don't you wrote something less violent, like a girl with a best friend that is about being married..."
This lead me thinking about doing something more simple and with no violence at all. Than i skipped that and aimed toward the second idea (something with hostages and terrorist). When i first encountered Andrea, the story writer of my short we played a bit about the idea of the terrorist/hostage. But, later, he explained me the idea that finally has ended into the short and i really liked it.

We bought a gun for our film, I say to Mark, "what should I do with this gun, since you certainly can't take it back with you on the plane"? He says "keep it, it'll come in handy for more of your shoots. I say "I've never shot anything with a gun in it before". So Mark says "I've never shot anything without a gun in it".
The short answer is yes.

I agree...gone are the days when you can train and trust your skill could save you. For instance...columbine in medieval times...A kid walks in with a sword and a bow and arrow. The people, who have trained much harder than him, pull out their swords and destroy him. Now you can have suicide bombers and kids with automatics that are 12, and people sniping seasoned veterans from miles away with laser guided missiles. Sigh. :violin:

"Does your entry contain a Time Machine?"
I've simply lost count.
Still, I love that sort of thing. :D
