I have an NTFS external drive that I am going to use to pull some files from a friend's Mac Pro. How do I change the permissions settings to Read/Write in order to copy file to/take files from the drive?

Thanks,
Andrew

You can't
Mac OS X only can read NTFS and not write to it. You would need a drive formatted into fat32 to read and write. There are some programs that will allow you to do that but it's not something natively that the OS can do.
