Sorrenson Squeeze insists on crashing when I try to import an uncompressed quicktime out of avid, or a quicktime referance out of avid. No eror messages, no dialogs, nadda. Just the send eror report to M$ thing.
Any ideas?
The uncompressed QT file is like 5GB for 8 minutes.

Ran into this myself a few times with uncompressed files from the Animation CODEC that were large in both dimension and file size.
Since most codecs set at maximum quality in QuickTime mean change the format for pixel arrangement but don't actually do any compression then pick something like the Sorenson3 codec from the QuickTime dialogue and set it to max quality. (Any setting other than maximum quality will start compressing.) Then output your file again.
Then bring that into Squeeze and it shouldn't crash. Use the darken filter in squeeze to counteract that milky look of the contrast flattening that most h.264 compression schemes introduce.
