Is Sony Z1 and Sony V1 DVCam footage comparable?

I've been asked to shoot DVCAM, and my usual Sony Z1 is out of service. Will a Sony V1 produce as good a picture (PAL interlaced), but with the known worse low light issue?

Will Sony V1 footage be alright for broadcast? and will sound be as good using the same external mic?
