Wii?

My buddy let me borrow his Wii for the week while he's out of town. Being that it has been a decade since the last time I played a video game, this thing is pretty fun.

That being said, what games would anyone suggest renting at blockbuster for this thing?

My entire life I've never been a "gamer". Everyone would be inside playing games, and I'd be outside kicking a ball around or something.

That being said... I was up visiting my brother a few weeks ago, and he had a wii (yeah, you know where this story is headed), I was all hungover one day and he put in the Tiger Woods golf game. 10 hours later, I had to go to sleep.

Great system. Best games I have are Zelda if you like that series, Metriod Prime (same), Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4 (one of the best games ever made), and Mario Kart. Anyone of these games would be great fun. Also Wii Sport and Wii Play are decent games. Plus Madden is always good.

I got a PS3 a month or so back, I've been playing GTA IV like mad.

I've never played a Wii but I heard there pretty awesome. Nintendo always makes good systems and games.

ha! what a co-incidence, exactly a week ago, I played on the Wii for the first time, and 1 week later I'm hacking the Wiimote to try and figure out true 3d realtime tracking....

Really fun, my arm was in pain afterwards :D

But, if I were to pick ONE game (other than WiiSports), I'd probably go with Super Mario Galaxy. It's easy to get into, and it really takes advantage of the Wii's unique controls.

{Ironically I've already posted on one of his forums, no luck yet, I'm moving away from the Wii to the PS3 SIXAXIS, because the Wii can not do full YAW detection around the Y axis... If I can actually get it to work, lets just say indie filmmakers will get another excellent tool..}

Wii sports is soo much fun. WarioWare is IMO the best multiperson game to play on the Wii.

I really didn't like wario ware. Just for a first time play, then it got annoying.

I prefer Raving Rayman's Rabbids 2. Great party game IMO.

Steven Spielberg's Boom Blox.

Come on. You have to. It's got Spielberg's name on it. :)

Seriously, this is a fun game. The whole concept is as a kid Spielberg would spend hours setting up block and then throwing baseballs to knock the block towers down ... which is excatly what you do in Boom Blox, except digitally and with a Wiimote.

The Wii is more for my wife and kids, but the day we brought Boom Blox home I spent about 6 hours in front of it.

my favorite is rock band - but i doubt you can rent that at blockbuster.
