Hello!

I'm in the market for a good Handycam at max 900$.

The most important thing for me is not HD nor ability to take photos but a decent lense (as good as it can get) and manual functions that allow for easy focus pull and iris change as well as white balance and so forth. Battery life is also a factor.

Most cameras have these functions but they're usually hidden away in the menu and are not easily accessible.

Thanks in advance!

You probably want an older 3-chip camers like the Sony VX2000, PD150 or Canon XL1. Those can probably be found used for around $1k.
