check this out...was messing around with some achromatic diopters i got for my canon 20d...
50mm f1.4 with 1+ 2+ 4+ A.D's stacked=crazy shallow DOF...

I remember one time I was playing with my mom's F1 and her achros, and I was framing a peanut, and the top of the dimples we in sharp focus, and the bottom of out of focus. Good stuff.

Why use an achro? Why not just use a telephoto zoom?

hmm...i dont know if you can get that tight with a tele. those three rows are about an inch high on my monitor...seems like that would be pushing it for a telezoom.
either way, im still researching which tele zoom i want to buy.
