I'm pretty new to the website, and mini dv filmmaking. How do i find websites, that will let me post up my clips, and what is the process of doing so.
N e feedback is appreciated.

First you need to use your compressor of choice, or use your NLE, to compress footage that you've edited together. Usually in a quicktime .mov file. When this is done, you upload that compressed file to a website, so people can stream and view it and give you feedback.

You might want to buy some cheap webspace for about 3 bucks a month, there are places with about 15 gb of bandwidth, and 600 megs of space on your site. Good deal...

Do you pay for Internet service? Your ISP may provide a small amount of bandwidth/storage as part of your subscription. Check it out.

1) get an ISP. --get a domain, also
2) learn some basic html coding and learn about basic website maintenance. Learn in particular, how to "play" video in windows media player, flash player, or quicktime ( take your pick)
3) learn to upload stuff in your web server ( your html pages and your movies)
4) compress your video. and be patient about it. try lots if different setting s till you understand how to make the video look as good as possible without having humonguous file sizes.

5) upload your movies.
6) test them on different computers
7) you will most likely need to re-compress many times till you get the hang of it..

now, you can bypass just a few of those steps with a .mac account, but even so, the process is really much the same. ( the .mac account gets you space and a domain ( though long and connnected to homepage.mac stuff...) quickly.
