How can I get higher rez grabs??

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm shooting with a DVX100A, 24p, squeeze mode. Then I capture w/ FCP, here are the specs:

"24 frames per second
H.264 at best quality
24 bits per pixel
720 by 480 (anamorphic 16:9)
WARNING: Audio device is missing
Input: first 2 channels
Format: 48000 KHz 16 bit 2 channel
speaker: off
volume: 100, Gain: 0

Any ideas/suggestions?

Try pulling them into PhotoShop and using the Sharpen tool.

But they don't look half bad to me.

Couple of problems, first, since you are anamorphic 16x9, you need to unstretch them to make them look right. Second, your focus is off which makes them appear less res.

What shawn said... you need to un-squeeze them. That will help them to look a lot better.
