This is a shoot I did for an actor friend of mine today. I thought it went well. D80, 70-300mm, SB-600oc.

I always like your lighting and comp man, good work. Does being a friend get him a discount? :)

Thanks! Actually he got it for free. He was an actor in a feature I shot a few years ago and had it coming, it was the least I could do for him. I had a great time and he's awesome on camera I think.
Thanks :)

On my screen his face looks a bit too bright partly. I think the 3rd is cool.
But I´ve already seen some more excitng pcis from you. Don´t know, they´re still good but you can do better. :D

Thanks man, He really wanted a very industry standard type shoot, for very straight-man type roles, no frills kinda stuff. I usually expand into a more artistic vibe but I think I nailed what he wanted here and that made me happy. Thanks for the "bright" note, I'm working on that. Balancing natural light with flash is my ongoing challenge.
Thanks!

I hear you. I think the white balance is a little too cool on his face for some of them. Nice as usual!

Much better! That just turned it into the favourite picture of the bunch in my opinion.
