Could you give a little more description to what you were doing. I have never seen P2CMS divide any clip. Were you working with P2 Cards or Firestore FS-100?

More details needed.

Thanks,

Jan

please excuse my poor english.

my workflow: p2 cards, p2 store offloading with p2cms, beside raylight for editing with finalcut pro 6.0.3.

when the problem occured it was necessary, that i mark serveral clips and export to another hdd.

p2cms gave me the error and i ve noticed, that the clips are devided apart.

4 clips are 8 clips now, marked with a '!' by p2cms.

please ask me for more info needed.

thanks

thomas

Quicktime 4.5? You must mean 7.4.5.

If you're running leopard, it is suggested you run QuickTime 7.3.1.

I'm not a Mac guy, so that's about the extent of my help, sorry.

Can you back out of Leopard? I think that may be the source of your problem. It should be resolved eventually on the Apple side but I cannot say when as I do not know.

Best,

Jan

thank you for reply.

maybe leopard is the problem.

but why panasonic says p2cms would work under leopard?

Operating Environment (Macintosh)

Mac OS X 10.4.11 (IntelMac)
Mac OS X 10.5.1, 10.5.2 (IntelMac)
Quick Time 7.4.1 or greater
Macintosh computers such as 2GHz or greater Intel Core Duo processor.
RAM: 1GB or greater
1,024 x 768 or greater display
When you play back AVC-Intra format, it is necessary to download the AVC-Intra decoder.
The P2 driver included with the P2 product must be installed.

i am very sorry.
the database seems to be broken and 'database>rebuild' didnt fix it.
so i thought p2cms and macosx would be the reason.

after building a new database and ingesting, all its fine again :-)

p2cms works with macosx 10.5.2 and even 10.5.3, also 10.4.11
only the rebuilding of the database seems to fail, when there is a problem.

thank you.
best regards
