June 19 -- being reviewed. :)
Alright, lets take a look. Rolling and reviewing:
Nice intro shots, It makes the film title make more sense. And the music is nice too. There is a little extra reverb in the dialog. I assume that is because of the room. Only an observation. I thought the dialog was really good so far. Levels would digitally distort a little bit. Watch the levels next time around. And the wheelchair was amazing. Same with the shot at 2:35. Pretty hysterical stuff. I like the play with the time concept.
Though 3:40 the film took a plunge. It was great until then. Not a fan of the sick humor. I was pretty disappointed when it came to that.
And the ending was strange to say the least. Puts note to the Karma is a bitch deal eh?
Nice film. Loved it until the throwing up part. Then major turnoff.

The throwing up/constant burping was a bit much for me, but but your paraplegic actor has some hillarious expressions. Also, you got 3 of the best lines:
"I forgot to mention...I play a paraplegic...murderer..."
"The steaks are too high..."
"The only thing we need is the herb thyme, herb..."
Overall good job!

Spoilers!
"That's why I bought you those watches."
We're going to a land where there is no Easter, we're going to Israel"
Just a couple of the LOL moments for me. This just needs a little polish, mostly the audio.
Very funny though.
Cheers,

I agree with Mike on his comments.
Some really funny bits and pieces but just needed some work on the technical side.
I could see these characters in a sitcom. Quite entertaining. Good work.

Internal monologue:
"Did the actors get drunk half way into the film? Wait what, was the writer drunk...in fact was the whole crew drunk when they made this? Ok everyone seems sober again...nope still drunk."
What an absurd comedy, I found myself laughing out loud. I like this one.

Possible spoilers...
It took a bit for me to get into this one, but once the "steaks get raised", I was hooked!
Excellent job with the comedy. It had the right balance of logic and farce. It takes quite a bit for me to laugh out loud--and for this I did! Great work!
Hahah...parapalegic murderer. Priceless.

this was a weird little movie. I laughed pretty much from the barfing on. :zombie_smiley:
Focus on upping your production values, as it can detract from the humor if your audio levels are spiking or your framing is awkward.
Some solid, inappropriate and gross humor here. I like it. :)

There was a lot of really good humor in this one, but you lost me at the vomiting scene as well. Not because of the vomiting, but because at that point the film seemed to lose focus, like you weren't really sure what to do with it so you just started throwing stuff in to being it to close. Until then I was really enjoying it.

Really enjoyed this one - in a Monty Python kinda way.
I seriously think you could have found a better use of those few vomiting seconds, however.
Very funny stuff. Herb is a great comedic actor, and a good balance to Mr. Chef. A classic Mutt and Jeff match-up.
Tech issues have been mentioned.

The wheel chair guy really has that aura of Saturday Night Live exuding from him... Like he knows something really funny and you don't...yet... Good punny comedy!
Thank you for not holding back on the use of puns! With a title like that, you just have to commit, and you did. I laughed all the way through this. Biggest laugh had to be when Herb wouldn't get in the van. Great use of the comedic potential of the wheelchair. Good stuff "guys"! :)

I saw your film. What the heck happened?
Actually, I liked it. It was silly, stupid, and cheesy! But it worked. I loved the puns. Very creative!
Thanks for showing!

This was the funniest on of the fest.
Steaks are high, out of thyme...yeah, great.
"we puked for twenty minutes and then passed out" Rolling and laughing!
I really liked this!
Oh, and the end hitting his head, then the shot of the two of them with blood streaming into ocean, great.
Good work,

Hey guys,
Just caught the flick. I must say I LOVE this piece. I don't wanna go into the production value cause it's been mentioned. And so, you know.
But I really really enjoyed the irreverant zaniness of this piece. Herb looks like Rowan Atkinson to me, which helps. I thought the pacing could have been a bit quicker. Just to move things along. But other than that I really enjoyed this piece. I laughed out loud quite a few times and the times I wasn't laughing I was smiling.
It's nice to see such energy and enthusiasm in a piece. I could feel that you guys enjoyed what you were doing and the chemistry between the two characters was really fun. I just really enjoyed this piece, a testament to the writing and the acting.
Good work. Next, a little more production value, huh? But even without it I fully enjoyed this.

I LOLed several times during this short.
For some reason I really liked the line about the van not being wheelchair accessible.
I prefered the wheelchair actor more to the other guy. The other guy seemed to be trying too hard.
Lots of funny puns.
I for one was not a big fan of the ending. It seemed like a cop out to actually wrapping up the story. But at least this was a comedy, so it didn't offend me as much as it might have. It did look awesome though, with the blood washing out with the tide.
Good job!

Oh yes, I love the filmgenre food film. This one was very funny, also if the acting me didn't convinced. I like the score. I was very surprised when the film changed the genre and got a road movie, but you have a good ironic sense and it worked. Above all I laughed the whole film and this was great. Thank you.

This is one of my favorites. Sure it had its shortcomings (the wheelchair guy was awesome, the other guy not so much; the audio) but dang it was funny. My favorite shot, a total LOL, is the wide shot of the wheelchair driving out to the parking lot, stopping, and turning back. Just delightful. Delightful filmmaking here.

Lisa and I both loved this one. Ridiculous!!!
And yet it works.
That's saying a lot for me, because I am normally not a big fan of comedies. Definitely one of our festival favorites, and the only one we've been quoting to each other at random moments :) Great job.

This movie made me laugh and the characters are definitely one of a kind.
“We’re going to Isreal…”

I also enjoyed the music in this short. Ha!! Ya. This was a good one. The end shots with the blood was really cool. This was a really whacky and bizarre film. I enjoyed it. Thank you.

Hello all!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the positive reviews. We're all really thrilled that many of you found Thyme Fest as funny as we hoped you would. We all enjoyed ourselves on set and I'm glad that translated into something you could laugh at.
That being said, we're disappointed at how the audio turned out as well. Most of the audio from the shoot spiked and when we found out it had, it was too late for a re-shoot. We tried to ADR most of it, but that turned out to be much too different from some of the original (and clean) audio we captured on set.
More caution and preparation will go into audio next time around for sure.
Once again, thanks for the positive comments!
