I reallly really need to know how to do this with the hvx200 because I have a wedding to film tomorrow ( that I was told about yesterday to film) and I need to be able to know this.. if anyone cna help it would be great!! Im shooting SD to dv tape...

Under the lcd flip out is a bunch of buttons. Use the ones that indicate shutter speed with the words Shutter Speed - and +

I wish I could help you. But you can google it, or just look in the manual. It should be in there. Good luck.

I know that, I need to know how to use very low shutter speeds (1/15 and lower)

before I had slow shutter option to use it in the user 1 file, in my dvx100's.. and they dont have that in the hvx200

HVX's shutter doesn't go as low as the DVX's did. 1/15 when shooting 30P/60P/60i, or 1/12th when shooting 24P.

You have to choose "VIDEO CAM" mode in order to get access to the slower shutter speeds.

If you need really slow shutters, then you can put the camera in 720p mode, FILM CAM mode, 350.0d shutter, and use the "frame rate hack" to get shutter speeds as slow as 1/2 second.

I just watched the hvx bootcamp dvd too, and it doesn't say anything about putting it in slow shutter.. I do have it in 480i, 24P, and it is in videocam mode.. and I still cant access the slow shutter.. how do i access it?

thanks

It's not available in the 480i/24p mode. You can get 1/15 in 480i/30p or 480i/60i. You can get to 1/12 in 720/24p mode, but not in 480/24p.
