Hey Everybody. This is my first post of hopefully many.

Our production company has plans to stream video of spot news and live events. We've installed the drivers for the camera and we receive a video preview shot when it's connected. Unfortunately the PC views the HVX200 as a still camera, not video. We attempted to capture footage using the default windows capture program, and it would only capture .jpg.

Does anyone know how I can have my PC locate the HVX as a video camera, not a still one?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How are you connecting the camera to the PC? Are you doing it through firewire, or through a USB cord?

EDIT:
If you are getting a video preview, then you are probably using Firewire. Have you tried using a different program to capture? Also, are you in P2 mode or tape mode?

I'm in tape mode. The camera is hooked up via Fire wire.

We're testing an online streaming company. Mogulus.com.

Their Adobe Flash Video player won't recognize our camera for some reason.
