I am pretty new to DSLR and bought my first DSLR a Nikon D80 a few weeks ago. Took some pics on a recent road trip. Here are a few that I thought were interesting. Took lot of flora and fauna. Please feel free to offer any comments/ suggestions to improve.

cheers,

Nikon D80 55-200mm Nikkor

I like the one with the fly on the purple flowers. The combination of the beauty of the flowers with the "dirty" fly is an interesting balance. It's like he is trying to be beautiful too.

They have baboons in Jersey?
I'm a fan of the fly. I can never seem to get flying insects to sit still long enough for me to focus on them.
How do you like the D80's sensitivity/noise?

ProfessorU, I took these in a place called Ooty in southern india. I love the D80's sensitivity upto about 800 ISO. It gets bad aftet that. I think its a good camera especially for somebody like me who is just starting out in Photography. If I have the money i would go for a D300.

Very nice for new to DSLR, I've seen the baboons in NJ at Great Adventure safari park - they climb all over your car and make quite a mess. But I agree with the above that the first one, the hood ornament is my favorite. It is a unique subject, great focus, nice bokeh, and both direct and indirect reflection of light. Well done. The D80 is a great camera and it looks like you will do very well having a good eye already for interesting compositions. No real suggestions on these photos but I would recommend joining a site like flickr to really explore photography and get great advice.

ya in fact i have been to the animal safari in NJ and had similar experience with the Baboon !!!

thanks for the kind words. I am very excited to explore as much about photography and needless to say DVXuser is just invaluable source of info.

I will explore flicker.
