Ok getting HVX 200A this week from Spec-Comm

Only issue wont get the extended battery. I seriously doubt
the standard batter will go beyond and hour of recording.

I was looking at get this:

Since my friend has the battery that supports it.

Make better recommendations at similar or closer price point.

Get two of the Dvxuser batteries and you will be good to go.

El Jeffe,
Was just wondering if you have had success getting the DVXUSER battery...I purchased one about 3 weeks ago and have not had an update as to the status of my order.

Any thoughts?

J

3 weeks geez that's a long time... I think I will just have to stop by B&H since I have an event next Monday.

Dante, we can go all day on less than 2 batteries. But we have 3 per camera just in case. :)

Well I would order one next week, but the event is memorial day.
Where are these things shipping from?

I wouldn't buy that mount with how cheap the batteries are. You are also a bit mis-informed as the batteries will certainly last more than an hour. The stock battery is good for about 3 hours depending upon how you shoot. You can pick up knock offs for really cheap and they are about as good as the panny ones... and really cheap.

Thank you Justin I just wanted to get a spare as I will be doing an event a week from Monday, so I don't want to rush while I'm shooting. At least I will have 2 other cameras so I should be great.

When I purchased my HVX I also bought the 10 hour battery from panasonic for like $100 and it far surpasses any length of shooting time I have come up against.

Yea I had Jasmine direct the packing team at Spec Comm to put the extended Battery in the box this one: http://www.spec-comm.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=80

I wonder if this is the same 10hr battery you are referring to?
Also I wish B&H sold the duel systems adapter I need one like yesterday.
Also I should be able to get some flesh tones tested this weekend with the HVX200A
Will finally be able to post on this forum, at last :-)

The Anton Bauer Elipz 10K's are great, a bit heavy so best on a tripod... but that extra weight can help smooth out some hand held work.

Also this is a battery that does last all day.
