Night time Tricks

Anyone have any tricks for shooting at night with the HVX 200? Street lights and stars will be the only light and they are few and far between.

Add light. A camera is a light-gathering device. Feed it light and it will reward you. Starve it of light and it will punish you.

Use car headlights if you have to. Use million-candlepower flashlights if you have to. But there's no surer way to ruin your video footage than to underexpose it.

350degree shutter is my low light trick. Avoid the gain switch!!!!

Have something on screen which is brightly lit (but not a point of light), then the rest will dark with little noise.
