I could not see spending $75.00 on Warmcards so I made my own. I went to Home Depot got a whole lot of paint samples that were close to the hue of the Warm Cards and cut them into rectangles, then glued them to the underside of my daughter's DVD inserts which are pure white. Then slid them back into the DVD case with different colos on each side. She broke the camera so I can't post pics right now.

Uh huh, next time you'll think twice about snatching her DVD inserts.
;)
Kinkos sells colored 8.5"x11" paper in a variety of hues for copying on.
2 of them in shades that are useful for forcing a warm balance.

Another way to make really cheap warm cards is to put a piece of CT BLUE on top of a sheet of white card. You can make the whole range, from 1/8 th to full CT Blue. ( Full is too warm!)
If you Laminate the CT Blue to the card, it is fairly robust.

Someone posted information on printing them thru photoshop. So I did that and had the wife laminate them at work. Otherwise laminate them at kinkos cost you a couple bucks but still not bad. I saved the photoshop information...
warm cards photoshop
Half Warm: R 227 G 236 B 245
C: 13% M: 4% Y: 3% K: 0%
Warm 1: R 201 G 221 B 236
C: 25% M: 6% Y: 5% K: 0%
Warm 2: R 181 G 196 B 218
C: 34% M: 16% Y: 6% K: 1%
Just another way to create them.

I just got these wb cards. Really cheap, we'll see how they are, I was curious so I'm gonna try them out. $17 total, including shipping.

I was wondering about laminating them. I never did because I was concerned about glare from the lights reflecting off the cards.
I guess it's not a problem then?

I just make sure there is no glare on the angle I hold the card at. And its not the perfect solution though.
