Here's my first try at green screen. I bought a gallon of Dutch Boy "Clean Green" for about $18. Just picked it out by sight. Later remembered a color chart at work. I was quite surprised how close I was to pure green. Here's a quick clip I shot with the HVX200 and nothing more than some diffused window light on both the chart and background:

I just bought Conduit Suite from dvGarage (http://dvgarage.com/pgroup/pgroup.php?pgroup=comp) which also comes with dvMatte Pro. Great keyers for what little I know. Both conduit and dvMatte pro work in Final Cut and Motion.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I'll post some keyed clips soon.

Hi,

I wrote a short tutorial for Digital Producer (http://www.digitalproducer.com/2003/06_jun/tutorials/06_02/guntergreen.htm) a few years ago that has been republished quite a bit that shows easy ways of using local materials to make greenscreens cheaply and effectively.

Bluescreens, of course, would be similar.

My best.

hello i was trying to find a color of paint you used to sell called "clean green" i was wondering if you still produce it and where i could buy some. i have called various OSH stores and SEARS and they tell me that they cant find the color even on the swatch anymore.

they wrote back

Thank you for taking the time to contact Dutch Boy. We appreciate hearing from you.

Clean Green is a rather popular color and one we added to our current color palette when discontinuing our old palette. The old color number is 4F-6 and our new color number is D1-1. Sears and OSH do not carry these color palettes unfortunately - their palette is exclusive to their stores. In their palette they call the color Summer Town #63291.

I hope this information is helpful.
