I know... me too... but it works, I mean I like both Panasonic and Panavision just as much. Only one lets me own and the other makes you rent :)

What gives, are you trying to hide from your argentine roots?

Oh how I long for a custom user title. At one point I wished for it to be "Registered Vampire" and then yesterday I realized I complain a lot about people violating the NO POLITICS rule, so I thought 'what about "Political Police" or something like that?"
Either way, I can think all day long, but I can only be truly fulfilled when I find something other than "Senior Member" under my name.*

if you're from argentina, why not "hand of God"?
USLatin
05-05-2008, 08:34 PM
hahaha! yea, that would be good
"The Hand of God" is the most famous goal ever... it should have been a Yellow Card and free kick as Diego Maradona used his have to score... the cool thing is that it was in front of all of the world and he got away with it... then on the same match, semifinals at the World Cup in Mexico' 86, the same guy makes the best World Cup goal, he eludes five def3enders alone, then eludes the goalie and stands in front of the goal all alone... the "most famous" and "best"
labels I used were given by voters on the FIFA website ... not me. :)

Thank you for your prophetic words, but no one has "asked" for a custom title. I simply explained my unnatural desire to have one of my own, never actually asking for one. The great thing is, I just realized I have one! Although that means I now have something to live up to.
 Off to check for political violations...

I hope to see one under my name someday. I'm curious to see what the mods will come up with. It could be an interesting window into how I'm perceived on the board.

Haha. One thing I love about text exchanges is, sometimes sarcasm is hard to portray. We obviously just found ourselves victims of this issue. Luckily, it is easier on here to make sarcasm known than it is in, say, text messages. My God, what trouble you can get yourself into with those little babies!
Off to bed...

only if I speak Spanish in my original accen, I have mastered the "Univision-Telemundo" accent...nobody knows till I let my real accent out... I also seldom get asked if I have an accent in english
BTW Luis, I meant to tell you that I love your new avatar... it is much better in 16:9

Funny that you say that - I used to work at a spanish TV station and also had to master the 'Univision-Telemundo' accent.
Not sure I ever really nailed it.
I definitely have no accent in English though - I spent a good part of my early days doing VO and production work in radio.
Always surprised people when I could break into fluent spanish.

yes, the argentinian(is it said that way?) accent is unique, here in spain as as soon as an argentinian starts talking you know he is from argentina (or at least he was).

It sure is, but I am sure you guys are talking about the Porteņo accent... the accent from those in the Buenos Aires general area... Porteņos are more than 40% of the population though....
you should hear Cordoves!
From the Province of Cordova... it would BLOW your mind! it is literally a song... always the same tune... it is great to hear, super relaxed too!

I'm a bit new, so forgive my slowness. After spending forever looking for the "change custom name" in Quicklinks and all of the edit options, I realized it's something tat's given to you. But, HOW exactly does that happen? Does someone, or a group of people do it? One day I hope to get one. Until then, I'll work on my other four fifths of my Top 5 life goals.

well whenever Luis Guzman is on it says:

Funny right? I want a custom title that says TheMacB.

I always wanted one too (and admittedly, when I reached Senior Member I gleefully searched my user CP in hopes that I could change it, but alas I could not.) and finally I said something (I think in this thread) about being the political police and then there it was.
