hey
i'm using my hvx with a redrock adapter on the rods and a swit monitor on the handle. is it safe to carry/shoot with the hvx holding it by the handle? it's not too heavy for the cam? is there some danger?
thanx!

thanx for the answer william. nice demo by the way.
i've been using the top handle until now, with all the stuffs on the cam, but was not very comfortable with that, always wondering if it was a mistake. i will be more confident with it now!

www.zacuto.com sells that handle brace for 75 bucks.

That brace is for downward force that would be great for supporting the weight of a monitor, but wont do jack for the upward forces created by carrying it. I've been wondering about carrying a 15-20 lb rig by the top handle. So is everyone carrying the camera like this, even with a large monitor (lh80 etc), and wireless, and 35mm adapter etc?
