As a weekend project, i decided to make a dolly. Its not entirely finished yet.. i still have to add the tripod locks, the stool, and the paint, but it definitely works! Here are some pictures.

These are the wheels, we attached them to the wood over to the left, and then attached that wood to the dolly itself.

We so far attached 2 of the track wheels, 1 screw in each so we can do alignment adjustments and such.

After all 4 have been attached, test run!

Close up shot.

The project so far totaled up to about $60.

The platform is 4' x 4'

What do you think? If anyone wants specific hardware instructions ill see if i can write up a little tutorial. Now all i need to do is finish it up and do some test footage! Ill keep ya updated.

I think your only problem is going to be the fact that you cannot dolly through doorways at 48" on a side. Other then that it looks pretty good. Get some paint on it.

Yeah looks good! A little big, but it will definitely get the job done. Whats WIP mean?

! i wasn't thinking about that! most of the shots will be outdoors or in an open area so its not going to be too much of a trouble but still, that limits what it can do. :(
