I was bored this morning and decided to compare some footage from my HVX to my Canon HF10... much to my surprise the color replication on the hf10 was more accurate to the real colors as seen by my eyes, the hvx footage has a brow hue... I set the white balance manually on the same card and footage was shot less than a minute apart... I also tried hdnorm instead of cinelike.. Same result... Any ideas? Look at the footage on vimeo.. Thanks!

Are you using an actual whitebalance target for the manual whitebalance, or something different like an 18% gray card or a white sheet of paper? What about the CHROMA PHASE and COLOR TEMP settings of the scene file you used -- those two affect colors and are applied on top of the whitebalance setting.

I used the same white bounce card to set the white balance for both cameras, the tried to adjust the chroma phase as well as color tem, however it did not remove the brown hue... who knows...ill try again on a sunny day...

I've never liked the look of the white balance on the dvx or hvx, especially under flo's and interior daylight. I like to use the color temp in scene file to warm it up after white balancing. I also use preset whenever possible.

I know exactly what you're talking about. the 200A fixes this completely.
