I'm trying to get my hvx to work with a Dell laptop with onlocation. I can't get the usb 2.0 to work. The computer recognizes that the usb 2.0 is plugged in but the program, nor premier are recognizing it. I unplug the 2.0 and plug in my fire wire , which works, but I need to use usb 2.0 on the laptop. unless there is a 1394 cord with the same end that plugs into the camera on both ends. Any help would be appreciated.

You can only use it with firewire.

You can buy a firewire cord with a 4 pin connector on both ends (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812191037) though, or you can get a small attachment that changes a 6pin to a 4 pin (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812101154).
