Here's a little short I shot recently. It was part of the Panasonic-sponsored HD showdown for the 48 Hour Film Project. We won the contest with this short, which means we are getting an HVX200a (which is wicked cool). Panasonic supplied a loaner HPX500 for the shoot itself.

This shoot was wicked rushed, as are all 48-hour films, so this isn't exactly the best "oooh look at this footage" sort of clip that we're used to seeing on these boards. But it's fun, and there's room for that here too. :)

Plus it doesn't look half bad considering that it was done from scratch in 48 hours and Barry (the co-creator) and I wrote the script and an original score and recorded it all and composited a ton of greenscreen stuff and did all the post and didn't sleep etc etc.

Thanks for checking it out, I'd love to know what you think!

Dude - that was beautiful!! Excellent script. I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

No wonder you won the freakin camera.

What lens did you use?

I'm impressed!

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

The lens was the Fujinon XA17X7.6 which is the one with the doubler on it (although I don't think we ever used it). Did you ask about the lens because you saw the ridiculous amount of breathing at the train station shot?

Yeah, really nice work, esp in the writing and acting.

No. I have the same setup and was hoping that you used the stock lens. It looks really nice in spite of the breathing.

Again; very nice work and very entertaining!

That was excellent. Very well executed. Congratulations.

Thanks guys. And yes I could care less about the breathing. I just thought that asking me about my lens was an odd question for this mostly-locked-down-and-poorly-composited piece. :)

Great! I always like good women's lines and the concept is solid.

I loved the shaky car and the rear projection! It adds to the comedy.

Congrats!
