Tape not ejecting in XL1

Hi all,

I have to give this camera back (not mine) and this morning after filming for a few secs the sign of eject started blinking. Now it dosn't allow me to play, record or even eject the tape.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

make sure there was no humidity that got into the camera (its possible it had an automatic shutoff) also make sure your batterie is charged. If this still doesn't work and it seems like the tape its stuck then you might have to dissassemble or send to canon
