If you see the new Sony camcorder you perhaps noticed that his viewfinder adapting to LCD and apparently it does is amplify the lcd monitor.

I think we can do something very similar to achieve better depth of field and take a little glare and reflection out of the small lcd monitor of our hv20/30

With something like this:
quenox NG-2.5F LCD Hood Magnifier for Digital Cameras with 2.5"-Display

Or this:

Hoodman H-300 Camcorder Hood with Magnifier (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/294332-REG/Hoodman_H3C_H_300_Hood_with_Magnifier.html#goto_it emInfo)

Any thoughts.

More photos. this one is too expensive US$138

This one is too small.
i will try the Hoodman H-300 Camcorder Hood with Magnifier.
It's relates to the depth of field because you could do a better focus if your monitor is twice as big, although it may be clear that the hv20 lcd simply does not have much resolution and at the ends not helping at all, but for $30 bucks I think for me that's worth trying and will end whit a lenshood that needed anyway and usually cost US$20

This works great on my Sony camcorder that does not have a viewfinder and was impossible to use in bright sunlight with just an LCD screen. A couple of strips of velcro and I can now film radio control jets in sunlight without any problem. It is just a shame that Sony do not make one designed for their products. Or thought twice before they took the viewfinder off.

"Sony probably heard him" :cheesy:
