I am going to record a wedding and i want to do some slow motion in post and i think to do the job at 720p50 so i can do the slow in post when i need it..
is it a good idea??? what do you think? any replays will be appreciated.

I always thought that if you intend to do slow motion in post, you normally want to shoot at a faster speed...but I'm no expert on it...

I would shoot 50P and let your NLE throw away every other frame for regular speed, but you'll have twice the temporal resolution for sections you want to slow down.

thanks to all of you for your replays your GREAT
That's gonna take up a fair bit of space though. Are you using a firestore? I'm guessing you're just going to rec certain sections slow mo, like the dance?

I wouldn't record everything at 50p, it takes up too much space. The weddings I did I recorded both, usually stuff I wanted overcranked I did before the actual wedding and when nothing important was going on. It can get kind of tricky going back and forth but makes for some good video.

i have 2 16gb cards and dump the clips on a laptop while i rec on the second card
i like 50p because it permitts you to do beutifull slowmo in post and its less flickerring if you do some movements with the cam.
