Can someone tell me how to create flashes in my editing when using FCP5? The best I can describe is when a cut is about to happen and it flashes to the next cut. A common use is when the camera zooms in and out and a flash kinda flickers with it in a different tempo. Music videos and things that normally involve time remapping tend t use it. Is this a filter. If so I haven't found it in FCP5. Is there another program that offers it?

Ok yeah, it works now. That is one way I was familiar with. The one I'm trying to understand how to perform is where it is used to flash and kinda flicker a little bit. If anyone has seen poker after dark it is used a lot before and after a commercial. Its kind of like lighting it has little flashes and then a big one. Thanks for your help.

There is a plugin called Twitch (http://www.videocopilot.net/twitch/) for After Effects. I don't know if that necessarily helps you, but it may help give someone else a better idea of what you want.
That is what you are talking about, right?

Yeah, thanks man! That's the best answer I've found so far. This should be what I need. Appreciate your help.
