We shot some material onto P2 at 720 24PN. I want to use the dubbing mode to convert that footage down to SD. Is there anyway to do this full frame rather than letter-box?

In this thread (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=40664) from late 2005, Barry tests it and says it can't be done...but this review (http://www.videography.com/articles/printer_14166.shtml) claims it can.

Barry's post was when the camera was new. Is there a way to do it that wasn't obvious at first glance (now that the cams features are better known)?

Or is the review wrong?

Not sure what you're asking. The only way you can dub down to tape is in full-frame 16:9. Not letterbox.

If you're asking "can you dub down a center 4:3 extraction" then the answer is no. It can only create a 16:9 widescreen DV image.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to find out...if there is any 4:3 option. I guess that review is wrong.

Yeah, they're wrong. It only goes to 16:9.
