Hey,

So after tons of research (correct me if I am wrong)... softer wheels for running on track like 78a are preferred.

Question is, is there a reason to go w/ skateboard or rollerskate wheels as opposed to rollerblade wheels such as:

http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-WB80.html

I assume they have different profiles in terms of surface area. Also with the standard L-bracket dolly setup what is the max size of the wheels (is 80mm to big)? Is something along the lines of 58mm preferable?

Thanks for the help

i'm building my dolly this weekend. i chose 70mm longboard wheels.. there is no right or wrong choice for wheel size since you control all the parameters (pipe size, wheel spacing, etc...) and the reason i went with 70's is that i have much bigger pipe (ie 2" metal pipe), so i went a little bigger.

Metaphysically, there has to be reason why the industry stuck with skateboard wheels and not rollerblade wheels. i hazard a guess it has to do with weight distribution is better with the extra surface on skateboard wheels. maybe somebody more knowledgeable will chime in.
