Varizoom has got some pretty large cranes with Motion Control that look to be pretty dang solid construction, and the mo-co seems to work quite well from playing with it for a few minutes. I didn't operate the cranes at all, but just tried out the mo-co rigs, and they work well, and are speed adjustable as well.

I'll try to post a few pics as soon as my buddy gets the pics off his camera.

They've also got a new "Zero Gravity" tripod mount. It's pretty cool. You can do full 360 degree range of motion with it up and down (and of course, side to side). You can move it to any position and it will hold, rather than drifting. Looks to move smotthly with little pressure, from watching Tom give demo's on it. I did not try it myself, but I may try to swing back by there tomorrow.

They are also showing off a dolly and tripods and such now. A new market for them.

Lot's of show special prices at their booth as well, so if you are in town and looking to pick up some of their gear, they've got most of the popular stuff that dvxuser's use, as well as the new stuff mentioned above, with show special prices on all of it.

What else? They've got a remote follow focus that'll work with any lens, but (if I'm not mistaken) is several thousand dollars, and is likely to be out of the price range for would be 35 adapter users and such. RED folks and users of the HPX line of shoulder mount cams will probably really dig it though. And, I took a quick peak at their new wide angle lens adapter that they gave as a prize in LoveFest

Later,
Jason

That MC50 remote head is good for smaller cameras like the HVX and EX1, but won't do the job for many 2/3" cameras. For those, you'll want the MC100, which can handle heavier payloads.

Technically, their heads aren't really motion control - at least not defined as programmable, repeatable motion control.

They are remote heads.

The focus/iris remote you're referring to is actually the Bartech (http://webpages.charter.net/bartech/focus.html) rebadged under the Varizoom name. A very nice control - exactly the same unit (unless Preston) you'll find on most major feature films running wireless FF / iris.

I'm excited about their jib and wish I could be there to run it out.
