Hi guys, im currently trying to create an intro to a film where a camera is flying through clouds (this part is already complete) then flys down through the clouds to reveal a car driving on a long strech of road.

for the car element I thought i could shoot it against green screen and film the desired camera movements around it, then when in AE i could decrease the size of the element and key frame it to get larger over time, hopefully it would look like its slowly getting bigger as the camera is moving round it, as if the camera was moving closer (hope that makes sense)

my problem now is the environment, how would you go about creating the road? I would do the above effect with many more items i.e a piece of road and tile it/ trees etc....but I dont know if thats the best idea. Hope you can shine a light on it.

Thanks guys!

David.

just come up with another idea, maybe I could somehow use Andrew Kramers Vanishing Point http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials.html?id=20

although its not really meant to be used for a grass/ tree/ road terrain... just flat walls..

I understand. Take a look at the Andew cramer "Earth Zoom" tutorial. I am still learning AE but that may help with part of it. does the shot come straight down from the clouds?

hey, good tutorial, yeh it comes down from the clouds and curves down behind the car car, so i may be able to use earth zoom and the vanishing point tutorial together somehow...

Thanks for the videocopilot links. I've started learning AE from that site a couple days ago. It's amazing. I've already come up with a hundred different scene I want to do now just try this stuff out.
