I have worked hard to achieve the Film look with the HVX and along comes a client who want me to shoot in HD but want a video look for the final project.
Most of it is nature and want footage for HD broadcast, DVD and some stock.
1080 I understand but the video look???
Recording to P2 HVX editing in FCP.
Thanks in advance

Just shoot 1080 60i and you should be good to go.

I would also stay away from the cine-like gamma curves and use HD NORMAL.

Thank you for your responce, 1080 60i oK, but what is the workflow for this in FCP 5.1.4?
Also in 1808 60I am I going to get the jerky feeling and the stair step stuff I get with 1080 24pa and how can I avoid it?
Again thanks in advance for your help.

In final cut just use the DVCPROHD 1080 60i easy setup. Since the video is interlaced you will not have the stutter effect created by pans or motion that is too fast in progressive.
