I read somewhere that you could switch the camera return between Tape (delayed sound) and Live ( actual time) buut I can't find this function on the camera or in the menu. Does anyone know if i can indeed do this and if so, how?
Also, I want to send tone to camera at -20 db. The audio meter on the camera does not make this clear. Does the fisrt notch on the meter refer to -18db or -20db?

The first notch is -20db and the second notch is -12db
... not sure about switching from live to delayed sound

Under AV IN/OUT menu, there is selection for HP Mode (Headphone Mode). HP Mode will allow you to select between LIVE and RECORDING. The RECORDING selection is one with the delayed sound and the LIVE selection is real time (no delay).
