60i to 24p... a valid method????

Is it wrong if in a 60i footage you de-interlaced and then add a "posterize time" plugin at 24fps to give it a 24p-like look??? Of course that the final render will be played for a conventional DVD at 30pfs

It will never look as nice as if you shot it progressive to begin with, but it's worth experimenting to see if you like the look. You're going to get more irregular motion than you would if you just converted directly from 60i to 24p.
