Can you provide some information about your system? Do you have a Mac or a PC? What OS and version? What drivers did you install? How are you connecting the camera or loading the cards? What editor do you use?

Did you select the HVX200 option when you installed the drivers, and did you put P2 card(s) into the camera at that time? Are you putting the camera into MCR mode, and then pressing and holding the MODE button for another three seconds to initiate a connection to your computer?

Update:
I still have not been able to make any connection to my computer, but had sucess with another that was using fcp 6.
I am still in a great need of help, so anything would be nice.
Im using the hvx200, with a 16gb card, shooting in 720p 30pn
Im trying to capture via firewire 1394, and cannot seem to get my computer to read it.
I have downloaded the P2Drive driver as well as the P2 PC Card, and P2 install pkg.
Im running this on a 24 inch imac 2.8 processor with 2 gbs of ram using OSX Leopard. I have FCP 5 and the software is completely updated.
My capture settings (on FCP) are DVC Pro HD 720p30p
Im trying to get any signal that it can be read, and tried to make a connection and capture through FCP, P2CMS,.
Any other info i can give you to help you help me, just let me know.
Thanks.

If you haven't already, turn on your camera, press the menu button, scroll down to "Other Functions", scroll down to PC Mode, and select 1394Device. Make sure you do not connect your firewire cable while the camera is on.
Not sure whether that will help, but it's worth a shot.

By the way, when you connect your camera to your Mac, do you see the "No Name" volume mount? If so, have you tried the "Log and Transfer" menu item?

Ive done everything you said, but it just goes straight to disconnect, and remains there.

I assume you don't see the mounted volume in Finder?
