Quick Question
sometimes i need to trim an edited video clip at an exact frame... so i take the timeline cursor thing and put it exactly at the frame i want to cut... then i drag the end point of the clip to the cursor, thus trimming it... but when is it trimmed to that exact frame? is it when the front of the outpoint is at the cursor? the end of it? and what is that slightly shaded thing following the outpoint?

ive had problems before with a clip being 1 frame too short...

hopefully i havent confused u too much haha

let me know if u want me to put up a screenshot or something the explain it more

Okay, you put the playhead where you want it to cut. then hit Shift, Command, D all at the same time. this will cut it for you. if you just hit command D it makes a dupllicate of the timeline. Also if you hit the "+" sign (next to the Backspace) several times you can get zoom into the timeline close enough to see each frame. that way you can see exactly where you are cuting. "-" sign lets you zoom out.

no problem. Also if you want to trim like you were before, if you hold shift while you are draging the end point it should gently snap to the playhead or the nearest keyframe. This effects works also if you want to line up keyframes with other keyframes.
